Recent Advances in Time-Sensitive Network Configuration Management: A Literature Review

At present, many network applications are seeking to implement Time-Sensitive Network (TSN) technology, which not only furnishes communication transmission services that deterministic, low-latency, highly dependable, and have ample bandwidth, but also enables unified configuration management, permitting different types function under a single management system. These characteristics enable it be widely used in fields such as industrial sensor actuator networks, in-vehicle data center edge computing. Nonetheless, TSN’s faces numerous difficulties challenges related deployment, automated operation, maintenance, well real-time safety assurance, rendering exceedingly intricate. In recent years, some studies been conducted on TSN encompassing various aspects system design, key technologies for protocol enhancement, application development. Nevertheless, there is dearth of systematic summaries these studies. Hence, this article aims provide comprehensive overview management. Drawing upon more than 70 relevant publications the pertinent standards established by IEEE 802.1 working group, we first introduce architecture from macro perspective then explore specific technical details.
